Coleen Nolan has said that, despite describing herself as a "romantic", she now feels "invisible" but is determined to find her true love.

The Loose Women star, 54, took part in Channel 4's Flirty Dancing tonight as part of Stand Up To Cancer.

In the programme, participants learn a dance routine - but only meet their date when they perform it together for the first time.

Ahead of the date with property manager Kevin, Coleen admitted to host Ashley Banjo that she didn't feel "fanciable" any more and described herself as "invisible".

Coleen announced that she was splitting from second husband Ray Fensom in February 2017 and has been dating, but has struggled to find her next love.

She confessed: "I think I'm everyone's mate but I don't necessarily think I'm fanciable," she said. "So I think he'll turn around and say 'She's the funny one on Loose Women'.

"Not necessarily 'she's attractive' or 'she's sexy'," she said. "I feel a little bit invisible right now."

Thankfully, after their dance, both Coleen and Kevin met up again after their dance and enjoyed a good few drinks.

Earlier, son Shane Roche Jr. joked that he was looking forward to meeting his "third dad".

Ahead of her blind dancing date, Coleen had a heart-to-heart with her son Shane.

Admitting that she was "really nervous", Shane joked with her in a bid to help her loosen up.

"Imagine if you met one of your ex-husbands," he laughed as he speculated on who her blind date could be.
