Speaking on BT Sport, the Manchester United boss said: "We played one very, very good half at Old Trafford that brought us through.

"Tonight we did a job. Disappointed to lose the game, especially the way we did it, it could easily have been 6-6.

"It was a strange game of football.

"We kept giving them the ball and losing it, but we luckily have one of the best goalkeepers in the world that saved us.

"Edi and David gave absolutely top performances.

"We've played some very, very good football and some poor football too- but we're in the final and we have a good end to the season."

On his upcoming run of matches, where United have four games in eight days, Ole added: "It's unheard of and made by people who have never played football at this level - it's impossible for the players.

"We have not been dealt a good hand, but we'll deal with it as well as we can. We are going to need everyone in these four games."

On two of his teammates that really stood out this evening, Maguire added: "Edinson [Cavani] scored two great goals, his work rate and movement without the ball was also excellent.

"He's always there when we put balls into the box. He's a top player and a top player for us.

"As a central defender, I'm not too pleased David [De Gea] has to work so hard!

"But when we needed him tonight he pulled off big saves and delivered a big performance, just like he has throughout his career."

Speaking on BT Sport, Harry Maguire says: "It's a great achievement.

"We started the game a bit edgy, they played a man-to-man pressing style which meant it was end-to-end like basketball.

"We had a good result at half time but gave them too many chances in the second half.

"We obviously don't want to lose any match, we came tonight wanting to win.

"Thankfully we put ourselves in a great position in the first half.

"Now we've got to go to the final and win it."
