River Island have ‘no plans’ to work with ‘face’ Caroline Flack after she quit Love Island amid arrest drama

RIVER Island has revealed they have "no plans" to work with Caroline Flack next year.

The TV host - who stepped down from presenting Love Island today after being charged with assault - has previously released two collections with the high street fashion retailer.

Caroline's 2019 collection, which was released in May and went down a treat with Love Island fans, helped bag her a six-figure deal.

However, the high-street retailer has now confirmed they have "no plans" to release another range with the 40-year-old TV presenter anytime soon - and her contract is already over.

A spokeswoman for River Island told The Sun Online: "River Island confirms it did not have any deals in place for 2020 with Caroline Flack.

"Previous contracts with Caroline came to contractual end and have not been affected at all by recent events."

Caroline was often snapped wearing the high-street favourite on the ITV2 show but failed to win another contract with the brand.

The Sun Online has contacted Caroline's representative for comment.

Back in May, she gushed over the collection on her Instagram page saying: "I've been working on this collection for 6 months with @riverisland and today it all comes together... it’s launch day (love this tiger kimono)."

Earlier today, the Love Island presenter stepped down from her role on the ITV2 show after being charged with assault following a bust-up at her home.

The TV personality was "absolutely devastated" about the decision which comes as she was arrested on Thursday after an early-hours altercation with boyfriend Lewis Burton.

She issued a statement on Instagram saying: "There have been a significant number of media reports and allegations in regards to my personal life.

"While matters were not as have been reported, I am committed to cooperating with the appropriate authorities and I can’t comment further on these matters until the legal process is over."

She later added: “And on a really personal level. I have never experienced such kindness and love in my whole life.

“Not just from friends and family who are always the greatest.. but also from total strangers who send messages to me offering help and understanding.

“Please know that I see them.. and my boyfriend Lewis... I love you x.”

Sources say tennis player and model Lewis, 27, called 999 himself after a row erupted between the pair.

He was not seriously injured, but The Sun can reveal Caroline later needed hospital treatment after accidentally cutting herself on broken glass during the incident.

While a spokesperson for ITV said: "ITV has a long standing relationship with Caroline and we understand and accept her decision.

"We will remain in contact with her over the coming months about future series of Love Island."
