It’s often seen as a taboo subject, but your sex life takes centre stage in a new app, dubbed Lover.
The app launched this week following funding from Tinder co-founder Sean Rad, and aims to provide practical strategies to improve your sex life.
Jas Bagnieswki, Lover's co-founder and CEO, said: ”We want to do for sexual health what apps like Calm and Headspace have done for mental health – empower users, start a new conversation and move the subject into the mainstream.”
To start, users complete a quiz to find out which one of the 12 types of lover they are.
Questions in the quiz include ‘How likely are you to agree that ‘I can sense when there’s something wrong with my partner?’ and whether or not having your partner lick whipped cream off your toes would be a turn on.
Based on their results and their goals, users are then given tips on how to spice up their sex lives.
On the App Store listing, the description explains: “Lover includes clever tools, tips, guides and more to help you become a better lover.
“By yourself or with a partner, if you’re solo and struggling, Lover will help you on your way to better sex.”
The app was developed in collaboration with Dr Britney Blair, a Stanford psychologist.
Dr Blair added: “It creates a genuinely fun and exciting experience, based off the evidence-based rigour of clinical research, all designed to help you and your partner have better sex.”
Lover is free to download from the App Store now, with a £9.99 monthly subscription available to unlock all features.
