Ianis Hagi was the hero as Rangers came from behind to clinch three points against Hibs.
The Ibrox side were poor in the first half but unstoppable in the second.
Steven Gerrard's had won comfortably at Easter Road back in December but struggled in the opening 45 to break down a tough Hibs side.
It was Hibs who opened the scoring when Allan McGregor flapped at a cross and Paul Hanlon fired in.
Jack Ross' couldn't hold out until the break though as George Edmundson produced a fantastic finish to make it 1-1.
The second half saw a completely different Rangers as they battered their Edinburgh rivals but couldn't find a way past Ofir Marciano.
They did eventually manage it when Hagi drilled an effort into the bottom corner and Gerrard could breathe a sigh of relief.
FULL TIME! Rangers 2 Hibs 1
Rangers get all three points in the end and that is a huge result for the Ibrox side.
Hibs had the lead in the first half when Paul Hanlon took advantage of a mistake by Allan McGregor.
Then George Edmundson got an equaliser on the whistle to make it 1-1 at the break.
Rangers dominated the second half but it took until the 84th minute before Ianis Hagi fired in the winner.
A big three points for Steven Gerrard’s men.
Morelos goes in behind
And that is so close to being 3-1.
He skips past Stevenson with ease and drills it in, but Marciano got a big enough hand on it to touch it wide.
There’s only about 30 seconds or so left here now.
Stevenson finally booked
He gets shown a yellow card after chopping down Jordan Jones.
There was no attempt to play the ball there from the Hibs defender.
Rangers fans not happy
There was a chorus of boos as five minutes are added on.
The home support was clearly angry in the first half but they’re getting right behind their team now and there’s some noise inside Ibrox.
Stevenson avoids a booking
That is very impressive for him to avoid a booking as he grabs Morelos and throws him to the ground.
The Colombian was racing down the wing when he got stopped.
There’s five minutes added on at Ibrox. This is a huge five minutes in the title race.
Final changes for both sides
Glen Kamara is being brought on for the final few minutes to try see out the game.
He replaces Hagi, who has arguably been Rangers best player tonight.
Hibs are chasing an equaliser though but even Greg Stewart is back flying into tackles.
Hibs also make a change as they bring on Marc McNulty to replace Joe Newell.
It really is a deserved lead for Rangers in the second half because they’ve been excellent.
It came again from a corner with Tavernier delivering.
It was half cleared and then back into Hagi who volleyed it into the corner.
A stunning finish from the Romanian.
Hibs also make a change
And it’s a sign that Jack Ross thinks he can get a winner in the last 10 minutes.
Horgan is being brought on and he replaces Allan.
12 second half corners
That’s an incredible amount of corners in the second half and sums up how Rnagers have played.
They’ve been really impressive going forward.
Rangers do finally make their sub and Ryan Kent is replaced by Jordan Jones.
Jones set to come on
Rangers are about to take another sub with Jordan Jones also about to come on.
You’d imagine he would replace Hagi, given the lack of game time for the Romanian over recent weeks.
Change for Hibs
Darren McGregor is on to replace Adam Jackson after the Hibs defender picked up an injury.
Rangers have been criticised for their performances recently and rightly so, but they’ve been fantastic here in the second half.
The first period they were poor but Rangers are playing really well since the break.
They’re massively unlucky not to be in front and Hagi is linking up well with Morelos and there was another penalty appeal as the Romanian’s shot was blocked by a hand.
Rangers have been excellent here but it will county for nothing if they don’t get a goal.
Rangers make their sub
It’s Joe Aribo who is replaced with 22 minutes left by Stewart.
Just before that Hagi had a go from a free kick and played a wee three touch with Barisic but it was saved well by Marciano.
Poor effort from Boyle
Davis robs him of possession and Boyle reacts angrily by kicking him off the ball.
The free kick is given by Bobby Madden but he doesn’t show a yellow card surprisingly.
Rangers are preparing a sub with Greg Stewart set to come on, you’d imagine it will be for Hagi.
Boyle shows his pace
That’s the danger for Rangers and Boyle does brilliantly to break away.
Davis tried to take him out, as did Arfield but he skipped away from both and is eventually blocked.
At the other end it’s Morelos who has a shot and this has been a cracking second half so far.
Another great save
It’s Morelos who is blocked this time.
A great ball in from Barisic and Morelos gets on it but his volley is well saved by Marciano.
The striker is starting to cause a lot of problems and from the resulting corner Edmundson has his header blocked.
The second corner then comes to nothing and Hibs get a goal kick and clear.
Hibs defending brilliantly
That was another half chance for Rangers but they can’t get a shot away.
Barisic delivered quickly from the left hand side and Morelos goes for it but Jackson is just in front.
Morelos then gets a shot away as he turns the defender a minute later and it deflects wide.
Barisic’s delivery finds Edmundson but he can’t hit the target.
Aribo with a sitter
How has he missed that? It was a good ball in from Barisic and Goldson knocked it down, Aribo turned on it but drills it over the bar.
A poor effort from the Nigerian but Rangers looking a bit more likely to get a second here than Hibs, but the away side are defending staunchly.
Tavernier looking like he's struggling
The right back is working hard but he looks like he’s struggling a bit out there.
He’s not getting as forward as you would expect and when he’s chasing back he looks like struggling.
Scott Allan just chopped him down there and it’s a surprise that’s not a yellow card.
All of a sudden there’s a bit of tempo from this game after a pretty dire opening half.
Now both sides are playing with pace and trying to get openings.
Hibs are happier to rest on the ball but once they get forward they’re working hard.
That is giving a bit more space for Rangers to try get forward but no real chances in the last few minutes for either side.
Great save by Marciano
That was some brilliant play again from Rangers but Marciano matches it.
Aribo gets on the end of Barisic’s cross and somehow gets his feet shaped right to direct it goalward but the Hibs goalkeeper produces a great stop.
The first five minutes of the second half has been all Rangers and Hibs are struggling to get out of their own half.
Ross will be frustrated at how easily Rangers are creating chances here.
Rangers started really bright
You can hear the support getting right behind them as well and this time it was Hagi with a good delivery.
The corner then comes in from Barisic and Hagi’s header deflects for a second corner.
Once again it was Barisic but too easily cleared by Newell.
Rangers look a bit more fired up and trying to play quicker here.
Early chance for Rangers
That’s a bright start by Rangers as Kent goes down the wing and it’s a great ball in from Barisic.
He picks out Hagi and it goes just wide of the target.
A poor effort from the Romanian but that’s better from Rangers, although Hibs will be very frustrated at it.
Half time! Rangers 1 Hibs 1
It’s been a desperately bad performance from Rangers but they’ve somehow got in level at the break.
Hibs haven’t been great either but Steven Gerrard will be very frustrated.
Paul Hanlon opened the scoring before George Edmundson equalised and there’s a huge second half in store.
That’s a brilliant finish from Edmundson but there was a lot of luck in that.
It was a ball in from the right and it bounces around the box, the young defender then smashes it with his left foot and past Marciano.
That was a huge opportunity for Rangers and Scott Arfield should have scored.
Just before that, Rangers could have had a penalty as Kent goes down under a challenge from Whittaker but Madden waves play on.
It then is worked into Aribo who lays it off to Arfield and the midfielder drills it wide of the target.
This has been a poor showing overall from Rangers and they need to get going a bit more.
Morelos with a shot
The striker is having to come right out of the box to get any of the ball and that’s been part of the problem.
He’s one of the few willing to get a shot away but Rangers need to be creating chances for him in the box.
From that, Doidge goes into the book for an elbow on Barisic, his third elbow of the night.
