Timo Werner is reportedly on Manchester United's radar in light of Ralf Rangnick's appointment as the interim manager's former players continue to be linked with moves to Old Trafford.

RB Leipzig signed Werner from Stuttgart whilst Rangnick was sporting director, with the 68-year-old then moving to the dugout as the striker scored 19 goals in 37 games during the 2018-19 season.

The move to Leipzig ignited Werner's career as starting attracting interest across Europe, culminating in a move to Chelsea 18 months ago.

However, his time at Stamford Bridge has, by comparison, been disappointing with just 15 goals in 64 games and a number of eye-catching misses.

Following Rangnick's appointment as interim manager at United, links have been drawn over possible reunions including midfielder Amadou Haidara.

Werner becomes the latest player linked, with as German outlet BILD's Christian Falk claiming Rangnick is keen to give his former player a chance to reignite his career in the North West.

The report mentions a possible summer move as opposed to attempts in January.

Meanwhile, Flamengo are said to be seen on keeping Manchester United loanee Andreas Pereira.

Even so, the Brazilian side reportedly have a 'desire' to keep him at the club beyond his current loan. As it stands, Flamengo would have to pay €20m for his services.
