This is the moment a church football league referee was asked if he'd report a foul-mouthed coach to 'the SFA or God'.

The taunt was hurled during a match in the Edinburgh Church League on Saturday.

Referee Tam Carter had tried to keep the peace during the clash between Gorgie and Barcaly Viewforth Church.

The hilarious spat was caught on camera on Saturday morning

Gorgie defeated Barclay 5-1.

The Barclay coach, shown in a dark jacket, had been sent off but still had to hand some keys to the ref.

And as he approached the whistler he decided to give him another piece of his mind over the standard of his officiating.

As the disgruntled Barclay coach ranted to swore, he was met with a telling off from the referee.

"I'll tell you what," Tam said.

"Keep swearing and I'll report you."

The Barclay coach had already been sent off but had to give keys to the referee and couldn't resist having another pop at the official
 

Retaliating, the coach said: "What are you going to do?

"Are you going to report me to the SFA or report me to God?"

Affronted, Tam threatened the coach over his future in the league.

He said: "I'll report you and you'll be banned for the season."

"I can guarantee you that."
