PS5 stock UK – live: Argos restock is available now – How to get a console

PS5 disc installation issue seemingly returns

UPDATE: The PS5 is in stock at Argos now. It could drop at Amazon, Game and tomorrow morning. Read on for more information.

The PS5 launched almost a whole year ago, in November 2020, but supply problems and a global semiconductor shortage have caused the production of Sony’s new game console to slow substantially. New stock is still quite difficult to find, and when it does appear the PS5 sells out almost instantly.

September was a mixed bag when it came to PS5 restocks, but was still much better than June and July. Although not a patch on the sunlit uplands of August, we still saw some consistent drops last month at Very, BT, EE, Argos, Amazon, Smyths Toys and Game. We had 10 drops to end the month of September. But how has October been going? After a slow start, we had nine massive drops last week from Asda, Studio, John Lewis & Partners, Very, Littlewoods, Argos, Hamleys, Game and, joining BT, ShopTo and Smyths Toys from earlier in the month. This week, we’ve had more drops from BT and EE.

If you’re still on the lookout for a PS5, you’ve come to the right place. Our liveblog is on hand to give you the latest insight on Playstation 5 restocks from all major UK retailers, both online and in-store, as well as providing details on rumoured releases, the latest PS5 games and accessories to snap up.

Tips for the Argos PS5 restock

If you don’t see your local Argos flush with PS5 stock n the website, we recommend popping into your local store. A huge number of our readers have successfully bagged a console by heading in, rather than waiting for their local store to list the consoles online.

Some stock trackers on Twitter were reporting that stock was available to buy as early as 4am, with some customers even managing to secure a console in-store yesterday evening before it had officially gone live.

The PS5 is now in stock at Argos

Gooooooood morning PS5 hunters, and what a glorious morning it is!

Argos has just dropped the PS5 onto its website. The drop is happening region by region, and it’s only available for collection and not delivery, so you’ll have to pop into your nearest store. Immediate collection is definitely happening though. Keep refreshing if your location hasn’t appeared yet.

A recap of today’s PS5 restock events

While we only had one drop from EE today, the latter half of the month is still proving to be packed with restocks. Tomorrow morning, Argos is set to drop a bunch of consoles online and in-store, with both Amazon and Game also being distinct possibilities.

And we’ve also just received news that BT is also planning to have another restock this week, despite already having one on Monday.

As usual, we’ll be back here tomorrow morning bright and early to bring you all the latest PS5 drops in real-time. Join us then! Ciao for now.

Will the PS5 be available on Black Friday 2021?

Ah, that’s the big question. While we don’t expect the PS5 to be on sale on Black Friday, there’s a chance that some retailers might take the shopping extravaganza as an opportunity to restock the console instead.

If you’re interested in hearing our thoughts on what PS5 accessories and games deals will be available, however, have a read of our PS5 Black Friday 2021 deals guide.

All you need to know about the best deals and discounts for the PS5 console, as well as games, bundles and accessories, for Black Friday 2021.

‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ game PS5

‘Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy’ finally releases on the PS5 today. It’s a third-person action game, where you play as Star-Lord, racing to save the galaxy from disaster, as he does.

If it’s anything like Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which features in our round-up of the best PS5 games, Guardians of the Galaxy is going to be epic.

PS Plus November 2021 games

For the first time in five months, the free PS5 Plus games for November haven’t been leaked ahead of their announcement, so we have no idea what games are going to be freely available next month.

Still, we don’t have long to wait until the big reveal. Sony is expected to announce the November line-up at 4:30pm tomorrow. We’ll keep you in the loop here on the blog.

Could Amazon PS5 stock drop this week?

So, Amazon didn’t drop its haul of consoles again today. It is the only major retailer now not to have had a restock in the month of October. If it doesn’t drop tomorrow, it’s unlikely to drop the PS5 at all this month.

Amazon only ever restocks the PS5 on a Tuesday or Wednesday, so if we don’t get a drop by 10:30am, we’re sadly calling it quits with Amazon for the rest of the month.

When will Game PS5 bundles restock?

Yesterday, Game updated its PS5 bundles page with new release dates of 4 November, with priority insured deliveries set to be delivered on 1 November. That means there’s a high probability that the retailer is going to be dropping consoles this week.

Game only ever releases new stock on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, so expect a restock on 27 or 28 October this week. There are 50 different bundles to choose from.

The Scuf PS5 controller is finally coming out

For those of you looking longingly over at your old SCUF PlayStation 4 controller, you shouldn’t have to look too much longer. The Corsair-owned Scuf has just announced that a Scuf-made controller will be releasing later this year – making it one of the first third-party PS5 controllers on the market.

If you’re unfamiliar with Scuf, it’s one of the biggest third-party controller brands in the world, creating pro controllers for competitive gaming.
