Very is one of the retailers with current stock of the much coveted Sony Playstation 5 as shoppers make frenzied attempts to buy the hard-to-find next generation games console.
The PS5, which launched in November 2020 and was only briefly available to buy in stores and online, has been out of stock since launch, save for a few small bursts of stock in the UK just before Christmas.
Now it seems there is finally light for some lucky shoppers who are able to beat the virtual queues at retailers who have posted stock today, including Argos and Amazon.
Here is the latest update as far as we know:
GAME: GAME dropped last week (twice) with no indication when more stock will come
Currys: Currys also dropped last week with no indication of when stock will come
Amazon: Dropped yesterday
Argos: Dropped TODAY with the possibility of more coming later today
ShopTo: Dropped last week
Smyths: Also dropped last week with stock coming in Feb 2021
Still to make a move, but worth keeping an eye on:
A statement on the John Lewis website said: "Thank you to everyone who has visited us and placed an order for a PS5. We are now out of stock.
"Unfortunately, PlayStation 5 consoles will not be available for purchase at our John Lewis & Partners shops or from our contact centres."
A note on AO's website says: "Sorry, Playstation 5 is currently unavailable."
Other sites to check include:
A good source of info for a devoted searcher will be the Stockinformer website, which has a constantly updated list of stock inventory for the major sites.
At the moment, their only listed pre-order site is, interestingly, eBay, and certainly it is possible to find plenty of listings for the PS5 on the UK eBay site right now.
