Over £42,000 worth of drugs have been recovered from a Perthshire village.
Three people have been arrested and charged after class A and class B drugs were uncovered by Police Scotland in the Inchmichael area earlier this week.
A Vauxhall Vectra was stopped and searched on the A90 Perth to Dundee road at around 9.10pm on Wednesday, December 18.
Heroin, cocaine and cannabis with an estimated street value of over £42,600 was found inside the car.
Two men, aged 31 and 60, and a woman aged 26, were arrested and charged in connection with the drugs recovery and a number of road traffic offences.
They are all expected to appear at Perth Sheriff Court later today (Friday, December 20).
Sergeant Paul Taylor from Police Scotland’s Tayside road policing team said: “Drug misuse brings nothing but misery to our communities.
“I want to reassure people across Tayside that Police Scotland will use every tool and tactic at our disposal to remove these illegal substances from our streets.
