Proud Danny Dyer calls onscreen daughter Rose Ayling-Ellis ‘f***ing fearless’ after first live show

EASTENDERS star Danny Dyer has proudly boasted about his onscreen daughter, Rose Ayling-Ellis’s Strictly Come Dancing debut.

The 26-year-old actress - who plays Frankie Lewis in the BBC soap - is the first ever deaf celebrity to take part in Strictly.

The EastEnders actress performed her first routine - a jive to Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off - this Saturday evening alongside pro partner Giovanni Pernice.

She later shared some happy snaps and video of her routine to her Instagram page celebrating the landmark moment.

Rose captioned the post: "Last night was such a dream! @pernicegiovann1 I am so proud of us, thank you for given me the confidence and belief in myself. I cannot wait to keep on working with you! Last night have only motivated me to work harder and keeeeepp dancing! 💕💛🦋💐"

Her onscreen dad rushed to congratulate Rose on her debut performance and didn't hold back with his praise.

"Absolutely f***ing fearless Rose. So proud. ❤️❤️❤️❤️," Danny commented on the post.

Rose and Giovanni earned 22 out of 40 for their performance, with Shirley ruffling feathers by only giving her a four, while Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke giving them six each.

Rose follows in the glittering footsteps of many of her EastEnders co-stars including Natalie Cassidy, Kellie Bright, Scott Maslen and Maisie Smith.

She said: "I have had advice from Natalie, and she said always be comfortable in what you wear.

"So if anything feels long, always say 'can I have it a bit shorter'. Emma [Barton], she told me just to be myself.

"Just be who I am, if I'm shy, if I'm being awkward, just definitely be myself."

Rose had to keep her involvement in Strictly quiet before it was officially announced, but when she could, she told her soap family first.

She said: "I told Danny [Dyer] first, and he said he was so proud of me. Then I told Maddy [Hill] and then Kellie, they are all so, so excited for me."

However, due to coronavirus restrictions, Rose isn't sure if her on-screen family will be able to be in the audience to support her.

She said: "I think that they will, they want to but because of Covid, I don't know."

Strictly Come Dancing airs Saturday evenings with results show on Sunday.
