PRITI Patel has lashed out at Brits winner Dave after he claimed Boris Johnson is a racist.
The Best Album winner added lyrics targeting the Prime Minister during his performance of “Black” at the Brit Awards last night.
Rapping to loud cheers, he had said: "It is racist, whether or not it feels racist.
“The truth is our Prime Minister is a real racist."
The star took home the night's main award for his album Psychodrama, which also won last year's Mercury Prize.
Dave also took the government to task over Windrush and Grenfell.
He rapped: "Grenfell victims still need accommodation.
"And we still need support for the Windrush generation / Reparations for the time our people spent on plantations”.
Ms Patel then dismissed the allegations while appearing on Sky news.
“It's wrong to judge an individual when you don’t know that particular individual.

She later added on BBC Breakfast: “I know the Prime Minister, I have worked with the Prime Minister for a long time, for many years. He is absolutely not a racist.
“I’m afraid that is very much a generalisation that has been made by rapper Dave and I disagree with it.”
Downing Street declined to comment on Dave's remarks.
