EXPLOSIVE claims in a new book will make the Duke and Duchess of Sussex feel they are being "hung out to dry" by their former staff, says a royal expert.
Shock revelations into Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's short time as working royals could be exposed in a new book by author Valentine Low.
The book, titled 'Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind The Crown', will delve into the tumultuous period that led the couple to sensationally ditch the UK and move to the United States in 2020.
Royal author Low alleges that the controversy left the couple's staff in tears when they learned the duo had secretly made plans to escape the royal family.
In the lead up to the duo's historic move, Low alleges that Meghan complained of royal engagements "I can’t believe I’m not getting paid for this".
The Times reporter's book also says that Meghan tore into a stressed-out aide in the lead up to her wedding - making her burst into tears and seek comfort from Prince William.
Another explosive allegation suggests Meghan threatened to "break up with Harry if he didn't announce they were dating" - leading the couple's former staff that survived working for them to dub themselves the 'Sussex Survivors Club'.
With the book's imminent release, royal expert Duncan Larcombe believes Harry and Meghan will feel they have been "hung out to dry" by their former staffers.
He told OK! magazine: "Some of the people involved will have felt aggrieved at Meghan’s hands – and they’re free to speak to writers like Valentine.
"Harry and Meghan are going to see these accusations appearing in Valentine’s book and I think they are going to believe they have been hung out to dry."
The estranged royal couple were reunited with their relatives following the death of The Queen last month at age 96.
As well as joining the royals for her Majesty's historic funeral, Harry and Meghan also accompanied Prince William and his wife Kate for a surprise walkabout in Windsor.
The royals greeted adoring crowds and shook hands of well-wishers - although it was revealed that Wills only invited the pair along just an hour earlier by text.
Amid rumours of a bitter royal feud that has lasted years, royal expert Duncan believes there may not be a role for the Sussex's now the monarchy is under a new reign.
He added: "When William and Kate became the Prince and Princess of Wales, one of their first jobs was to reach out to Meghan and Harry, and Charles explicitly affirmed their relationship in his speech, no matter what has been said and done.
"Now Meghan and Harry have returned to California knowing that the ball is in their court.
"The fact remains that the life they built in America is incompatible with Harry attaining any meaningful role in the royal family."
