A Pride of Britain teacher of the year has been banned from the profession for bullying staff.
Mahzia ‘Pepe’ Hart ordered a pregnant colleague to hide her bump and ignore her morning sickness, a tribunal heard.
She also told her: ‘I wonder if you got pregnant because you think teaching is too difficult.’
The 53-year-old also insulted staff who took sick leave, saying, ‘They don’t care about the children,’ the panel heard.
Ms Hart will appeal the ban.
She won her Pride of Britain gong in 2008, and Trinity Cofe school in Radstock, Somerset, won an anti-bullying prize during her tenure as head.
