Prestwick Airport staff cancel planned strike after new salary offer

Prestwick Airportworkers agreed to call off their strike after winning a new wage deal.

Employees were unable to use the tool due to conflicts with management over wages.

When uniting the union, union members were pushed to the limit when their superiors refused to pay shift allowances and meet the real living wage (£9.90) of new hires.

A series of strikes were scheduled over the summer.

However, an updated proposal was filed that all employees earning £30,000 or less he would receive at least a 6.5% raise.
