Preston star Connor Ripley will join Morecambe with a free transfer after last season's loan spell with Salford.

Morecambe of Derek Adams has captured Preston's keeper Connor Ripley.

The free agent travels across Lancashire and signs the League 1 club that lost when Trevor Carson left.

Ripley was released to theNorth Endand took out a loan with Salford last season.

The 29-year-old Shotstopper has played only seven times in League Two outfits.

However, Ripley has a lot of experience in the football league and is a great edition.

Preston has also completed the signature ofNewcastlegoalkeeper Freddie Woodman.

The 25-year-old will stay in Deepdale until at least 2025.

Woodman has played for Magpies in the Premier League and haschampionship with Swansea City.
