Cumbria Police intercepted a drug drive suspect seen swerving along the Carlisle Bypass on Friday night.
The Cumbria Traffic & ARV (Armed Response Vehicle) patrol were not impressed when they spotted a motorist driving recklessly. He was stopped by officers and tested positive for a cocaine wipe. The driver was also arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs and cash with intent to supply.
The driver has been remanded in custody pending further enquiries and will appear in court at a later date.
Cumbria Road Policing & ARV tweeted at 11.49pm: "#MD41 noticed this vehicle swerving all over the road along the Carlisle Bypass. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was arrested for providing a positive wipe for cocaine and also concerned in the supply of drugs having found cash + drugs."
