Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has already made his feelings known about Liverpool

Liverpool have been sensationally linked with a move for Manchester United star Paul Pogba after reports that his agent Mino Raiola had offered the Reds a chance to sign the Frenchman.

While a move may seem unfathomable, Pogba has been outspoken in his praise of the 19-time English champions.

The original story was sparked from a report by Le10Sport which suggested that with six months remaining on his deal in Manchester, Liverpool could swoop in to take the Frenchman off their hands at a cut-price fee, a claim that was quickly rebuked.

But the 28-year-old's admiration for Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp is no secret.

Whilst Klopp's side were at the peak of their powers in 2020, Pogba spoke highly of the talent that the club possessed. At the time, records were being broken by the Reds in pursuit of ending their 30-year wait for a trophy.

"They are so way ahead of everyone else," said Pogba, as quoted by ESPN.

"As a Manchester United player and with the rivalry between us, we don't want them to win the title. We don't want anyone else to win apart from us, but as a football lover and a respectful player to opposition team, I have to say that they deserve to be where they are today."

'They are p*****!’ - Wayne Rooney sent Steven Gerrard message to two Manchester United team-mates

Former Manchester United defender Rafael has detailed what Wayne Rooney passed on to him on behalf of ex-Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard.

He and his brother Fabio were a part of the title-winning teams created by Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.

Over the years, the Brazilian duo became embroiled in a number of fierce matches and spats with the Reds as the two English giants battled it out to be crowned champions of England.

Rafael featured more against the Reds than his twin brother, Fabio, and won his first Premier League medal in 2009 where the Red Devils edged out Rafa Benitez's Liverpool to be crowned Premier League champions.

The 31-year-old was part of the winning United team on five of the eight occasions he featured for Sir Alex Ferguson's side against Liverpool.

Rafael was quoted in The Athletic saying : “Wayne Rooney told us that Steven Gerrard hated us.

"He said that Gerrard told him on international duty, ‘Those twins, they are p*****!’."
