Queen 'regretfully' not attending
A spokesperson confirmed the Queen would "regretfully" not be attending the conference in Glasgow.
They said: “Following advice to rest, the Queen has been undertaking light duties at Windsor Castle.
“Her Majesty has regretfully decided that she will no longer travel to Glasgow to attend the Evening Reception of COP26 on 1 Monday, November.
“Her Majesty is disappointed not to attend the reception but will deliver an address to the assembled delegates via a recorded video message.”
Masks in Commons made compulsory, except for MPs
Ahead of PMQ's, face coverings have been made mandatory for everyone working in the House of Commons except MPs.
In updated guidance, the Commons authorities said all staff, visitors, contractors, and pres must cover their faces.
However, it remains up to individual MPs to decide whether to follow suit.
Health secretary Sajid Javid confirmed he would be wearing a mask for the Budget announcement when he chamber is likely to be full.
