A PLUS-size model has hit out after a YouTuber singled her out when claiming ‘morbidly obese’ people are disgusting and unattractive.
Singaporean influencer Xiaxue, real name Wendy Cheng, went on a vicious rant on Instagram, claiming overweight people were “delusional” and needed to go on “a freaking diet”.
The 35-year-old used a photo of plus-size model La’Shaunae Steward in her posts, claiming the 23-year-old should “never be seen as attractive”.
Her shocking rants have since been deleted by Instagram after they were reported by fellow users, with Xiaxue branded ‘fatphobic’.
In her now-deleted tirade, Xiaxue shared a snap of La’Shaunae and said: “It’s one thing to be chubby or fat but this is way past that.
“Most morbidly obese people don’t live past 40.
“They gorge themselves with 30 burgers a day and when they inevitably get a clogged artery or diabetes taxpayers have to help foot their medical bills when their health conditions are entirely caused by their irresponsible behaviour. Disgusting.
“The morbidly obese (like this woman) should never been seen as attractive because death and disease isn’t attractive full stop.
“Irresponsibility isn’t attractive. Even when they die need 3 pple [sic] to carry the corpse please.
“F****** stop glorifying this s**t Instagram shame on you.”
La’Shaunae has since hit back at Xiaxue, sharing snaps of her post on Twitter.
Her defiant response has racked up thousands of likes, where she said: “Why are thin people this obsessed with letting me know indirectly they think I'm unattractive to them therefore I’m not worthy of love, a career, being visible, and literally telling me the age I’m going to die? Ok miss cleo.”
But Xiaxue, a mum-of-one, didn’t stop there, as she re-posted deleted snaps of La’Shaunae after they were removed by Instagram.
And she shared more rambling statements on her stories where she hit out at ‘morbidly obese’ people in general.
She said: “I think people weighing 500lbs should go on a freaking diet instead of living in the delusion held up by enablers that the fatter they are the ‘braver’ they are and the more beautiful they are.
“They need to know the truth and that is that people aren’t ‘fatphobic’ if they find obesity unattractive.
“With the exception of a very niche amount of people with a feederism fetish, most people will find this looks, well, bluntly put - gross.”
And she even shared a snap of herself on Instagram where she edited herself to look plus-size.
“I maintain my stance. Morbid obesity isn’t attractive because it leads to death and disease.
“This isn’t personal against anyone so it isn’t fat-shaming. And I did not ever talk about chubby or regular fat people. Stay triggered snowflakes.”
People have claimed Xiaxue’s views are what’s “disgusting”, with one person commenting: “Congrats Xiaxue your hatefulness has put you on the world map.
“To all the brands who continue working with her… is this really who you’re asking to endorse your products? Shame.”
Someone else said: “Can everyone go and report @Xiaxue on Instagram. Her story is disgusting and she is being extremely hateful towards women who are learning to love their own bodies their own way.”
While a third person said: “Girl don‘t even worry about her! She hates herself and projects her insecurities on others so we should pity her for hating herself and caring for appearances so much.”
