Piers Morgan announced that he will be releasing a new book in October that slams 'hysterically woke liberals'.
The often outspoken Good Morning Britain presenter, 55, has struck a deal with Harper Collins over a book titled, 'Wake Up: Why the ‘Liberal’ War on Free Speech is Even More Dangerous than Covid-19'.
Piers, who is currently enjoying a lavish holiday in Saint Tropez, made the announcement on his Twitter profile earlier today.
It will be available for readers and listeners on October 15.
Speaking about his new literary endeavours, Piers suggested that the book will offer quite the critique of 'woke liberals'.
"The biggest threat to our freedom in the 21st century isn’t coronavirus but hysterically woke liberals trying to kill democracy by suppressing free speech," Piers said.
He added: "This is my clarion call, as a liberal myself, for them to stop screaming, shaming and cancelling everyone they disagree with, and start being part of the solution to global disharmony and division—not the problem."
Pier Morgan's publisher Oli Malcom also added that it was an "urgent, assertive" read.
"As we have seen throughout 2020, there is simply no one better in the nation right now at stress testing the rigour of an argument and provoking social debate in the widest possible audience," Malcom said.
Piers' announcement came after hours of speculation over what his big news could have been.
Earlier today, the GMB host teased that he had some exciting news to share, sending social media into a frenzy.
He wrote: "UPDATE: No, I’m not Ghislaine Maxwell’s secret husband, nor am I transitioning, providing Bitcoin advice, quitting GMB, going vegan or replacing Jofra Archer in the Test match. All will be revealed at high noon."
Some of his followers have since dubbed the book release as 'disappointing'.
In the comment section under the announcement, some Twitter users seemed less than impressed with his news.
Another added: "How disappointing...there is no ‘liberal’ war on free speech, you’re imagining that! But then you’ve taken it a step further, concocting a whole book about it, oh dear. Good luck with that."
"Disappointing, you’ve gone all right wing again," wrote a third.
