Piers Morgan and Joe Wicks came face to face - via video link - today today to bury the hatchet four years after their fallout.

In 2016 Good Morning Britain viewers had accused Piers of bullying Joe during an incredibly toe-curling interview.

But Piers, 55, did a major U-turn this morning as he praised Joe, 33, for his keeping the nation active with his enormously successful PE lessons during the coronavirus crisis.

Addressing their feud, Piers admitted to Joe: "I've given you a hard time before - jokingly - but a hard time.

Piers Morgan admitted he had given Joe Wicks a hard time in the past but he was impressed with his PE lessons

"But I have reached a point where I may actually have to join in," Piers admitted.

A delighted Joe responded: "I was surprised when I saw you say something nice about me.

"You tweeted and said thank you about what I'm doing with the NHS stuff so thanks for the support.

"Get involved Piers!" he urged.

Joe has promised to donate advertising revenue to the NHS after seeing a huge rise in fees given the popularity of his classes.

After helping keeps fans fit around the world and handing over money to good causes, Joe also admitted his daily lessons are having a positive effect on him too.

Joe said he as grateful for the support and admitted his daily classes have had a positive impact on him too

He explained: "I have days where I wake up feeling low and flat but I always use exercise as a way of lifting my mood, and that's what this workout is going to do.

"You're going to walk away from it feeling a little more optimistic, and that's what we need more than ever right now."

Joe and Piers chatted amicably on Thursday's show but things had been different when they clashed in an awkward interview in 2016.

Fitness pro Joe appeared very uncomfortable when he appeared to promote his latest book and Piers diverted attention to his love life instead.

"How many women come knocking at your door?" Piers wanted to know.

"None, no women. But we're not here to talk about girls, we're here to talk about Lean in 15. I just don't like talking about women, it's private," replied Joe.

Piers then told Joe: "You're not private. Let's face it, everything you do or eat is on Instagram."

Joe was eventually pushed into admitting he did have a 'beautiful' girlfriend, but viewers at home weren't happy with how the interview went and accused Piers of bullying answers out of him.
