Phillip Schofield stepped in on Tuesday's This Morning as Holly Willoughby was reduced to tears live on air.
The presenting duo were well into the latest episode of the ITV daytime show when they were joined via video link by nuns Sister Geraldine Marie and Sister Gabriel for what turned out to be a very moving section of the programme.
Phillip asked what inspired them to give their lives to God and how it felt to make such a commitment, to which they told him: "It's not an easy decision to make, but imagine for yourself, when you met the person you loved, and you wanted to give your life to them, that's not an easy decision to make.
"In every walk of life, whether we are single, married, called to religious life, it's an act of faith and an act of trust.
"Somewhere you are placing yourself in the hands of somebody else, we are all doing that somewhere, of course it takes great courage and you have to believe that ultimately it will work out and be okay."
Holly warned them that they would soon have her in tears and, as they spoke about their choir's recently released album, the presenter's prediction came true.
The nuns from Arundel added: "When you listen to our CD, if you're at home and fed up or anxious or feeling depressed, just know in West Sussex there is a community of women and we are here and we are with you.
"And we are making the journey as well."
Reduced to tears, Holly replied: "Thank you, there are just some people who talk and they really get you don't they... oh that took me by surprise."
Gesturing towards co-host Phillip, she told him: "You are going to have to read this bit," before addressing the nuns once again to say: "Sorry, it's just when somebody says it's all going to be okay, it's just nice to hear isn't it."
It's not the first time that music has left Holly wiping away the tears on This Morning.
Just two months ago she was left in floods by composer and dementia sufferer Paul Harvey who became a huge internet star after he improvised a piece of music on his piano using just four notes.
On hearing Paul play his iTunes chart-topping composition, Holly broke down, telling him: "I'm so sorry, I don't know what's happened....it just won't stop.
"I'm sorry! I'm going to get a box of tissues!"
