A person was rescued after being spotted in the sea near Blackpool Tower.
Volunteers from Blackpool's Royal National Lifeboat Institution were alerted to the incident at 12.20am on Thursday (February 6).
A person had reportedly been spotted in the sea, close to Blackpool Tower.
After quickly arriving at the scene, the person was rescued by the lifeboat and was taken to safety.
Lancashire Police, North West Ambulance Service and coastguards from Lytham and Fleetwood also attended.
It is not known if any injuries were sustained.
A spokesperson for Blackpool RNLI said: "Our RNLI volunteers were called out at 12.20am this morning when a person was spotted in the sea near Blackpool Tower.
"They launched and quickly helped the person into the lifeboat & took them to safety."
