If you've got a slow cooker, you're likely to have used it for obvious things like stew dishes, pulled pork and macaroni cheese.

You may have even given a full English breakfast a go - yes, it really can be done!

What you probably haven't tried though, is pizza. It may seem like a strange idea, but one woman has come up with a brilliant recipe to whip up a simple pizza, and it looks incredible.

The recipe was originally shared on Crockpot/Slow Cooker Recipes & Tips - a Facebook group dedicated to sharing delicious and innovative new ways of cooking things in slow cookers.

Posting in the group, the woman behind the delicious-looking creation shared before and after pictures, which she captioned: "My first ever sc pizza!

"I added cooked chicken, peppers, mushroom, pepperoni, mozzarella slices , chillies and grated cheese…was in sc (slow cooker) on high for about 1 and a half hours… can't wait to taste it!"

People were quick to respond, with many sharing their own creations.

One impressed slow-cooker user wrote: "I made the pizza tonight, probably went over board with cheese though. It was amazing."

Somebody else asked: "Well done. Bet you used a dish towel under the lid to keep it from going soggy."

"Made it twice this week but with my own gf pizza dough recipe - family are now asking for recipe - definitely tea towel on lid - it’s the best," advised a third.

I know what I'll be whipping up for dinner tonight.
