It's been all change across the Pendle borough with every councillor up for election in the May 6 local elections.

Following a recent change in its political make up by the Local Government Boundary Commission, Pendle Borough Council saw its overall councillors cut from 48 to 33.

There are also now 10 council wards with three councillors; one two-councillor ward; and one one-councillor ward.

As a result of this, the entire council was up for election in the May 6 vote.

Prior to the vote, there was no ruling party in Pendle.

Labour's Mohammed Iqbal MBE had been the leader of the council in a power sharing arrangement with the Liberal Democrats.

As part of that arrangement, Lib Dem councillor David Whipp served as deputy leader.
