PCSO Julia James: Man in 20s arrested in connection with murder

A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of PCSO Julia James, Kent Police have said.
The British national, who is in his 20s and from the Canterbury area, was arrested at 9.30pm on Friday night and remains in custody, officers confirmed today.
His name has not yet been released.

Ms James, a popular police community support officer, was found dead in Akholt Wood near her home in Snowdown, Kent, on April 27.

A post-mortem examination revealed the 53-year-old died from significant head injuries.
