A pastry shop in Hungary has launched a range of Covid-19 vaccine-themed mousses. The Sulyan family’s patisserie in the town of Veresegyhaz, northeast of Budapest, offers a selection of layered mousses with colourful jelly toppings, presented in small glasses, complete with decorative syringes. “Here people have a choice, there is no registration, there are no side-effects,” said one of the patisserie’s team.

Humans to contact aliens by end of the century

A scientist has claimed that humans will make contact with aliens by the end of the century. Following the recent leak of UFO footage from the US military, Dr Michio Kaku, an American theoretical physicist, said: “It used to be only crackpots, hucksters, and people who saw something because they were in a drunken haze. I think that there’s a good likelihood that, in this century, we’ll make contact with an alien civilisation.”

Cornwall jail gets hotel facelift

A prison in Cornwall has been transformed into a luxury hotel. Bodmin Jail, which was built by prisoners of the Napoleonic Wars in 1779, was closed in 1927. However, it is now to be reopened by a billionaire businessman as a luxury hotel. A stay in the venue could set you back hundreds of pounds, with a classic room costing between £250 and £350 per night with breakfast included.
