Emergency services rushed to Hartcliffe, Bristol, as reports hold the responders have surrounded Rowan House. One local said police have cordoned off the area, with another saying armed officers are at the scene.

In images published by Bristol Live, police are seen putting up a cordon near Rowan House.

Another picture appears to show emergency service vehicles near the flats.

A resident told the resident the incident was unfolding “opposite in tower block house”.

She said: "There are lots of police cars, ambulance and response unit came now."
