OVIE Soko has ruled out dating his Love Island bestie Amber Gill, but revealed that he was a shoulder for her to cry on after she was dumped by Greg O'Shea.
The 28-year-old basketball player's sweet relationship with this year's champ melted hearts during their time in the ITV2 villa, with Ovie even confessing at the time that he felt like Amber's "guardian angel".
Earlier this week, Amber insisted that she and the star will only ever be pals and that she sees him more like a "brother" than a lover, which is a feeling that Ovie reciprocates.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun Online at the launch of his ASOS collaboration, Ovie explained: "Amber is a sweetheart, she is a close friend of mine and I will always have her back.
"We will be friends for life, of course."
He went on to tell us that he was among the first to check in on Amber when she was left heartbroken by Greg earlier this month, sharing: "We all drop a line or text to check in how we're doing and if everything is okay.
"We spoke after the whole Greg situation, I just checked in on her - that kind of stuff.
"She is doing really good."
And although Amber has a busy schedule of her own after landing a £1million deal with Miss. Pap last week, she is still finding the time to show her support for Ovie's venture with ASOS.
The fan-favourite shared: "She has obviously got a lot of stuff going on but I wouldn't be surprised if she makes an appearance at my launch party."
Speaking to OK! online, Amber previously said of Ovie: "I would prefer to have him as a friend. We have never really thought of each other like that - it's a bit strange that everybody comments on it all the time. I'm like 'Oh my God, no, stop.'
"He is always going to be there no matter what, if he's my friend, he's going to be there through my boyfriends, through anything.
"I get those types of messages about Ovie and I all the time. Oh my God, the amount of people that want it to happen.
"But they are going to ruin the friendship! I don't know why they want to ruin something good."
Today has been dubbed National Ovie Day after the star brought his iconic style to ASOS with with his own edit, which is available now.
Ovie has also teamed up with ASOS Design to create a seven-piece capsule collection, which the star designed alongside his artist dad PappiRay and will launch on 23rd September.
The ASOS Design team used statements and sketches from Ovie's dad's work to bring the collab to life, with the collection's logo designed by Ovie and inspired by one of his dad's paintings.
Discussing why he decided to incorporate his dad's work in the launch, Ovie said: "Family is everything to me and my Dad was such a strong influence when I was growing up; I can remember him spending hours upon hours in his studio, getting lost in his own world.
"ll the pictures and artwork that I picked to be used in the collection meant something to me and that was important because I didn't want to put something out for the sake of it. I wanted it to be a true representation of myself.
"ASOS gave me a platform to be myself and I think it’s so important when it comes to fashion that we’re all able to be our true selves."
The Ovie Style Edit and his ASOS DESIGN collaboration are all exclusively available at ASOS.com
