Outlander celebrates its 8th anniversary on our screens with a throwback series of behind-the-scenes snaps

It's hard to believe thatOutlanderfirst hit our screens eight years ago today.

It's safe to say that fans have been on quite a journey with the cast and crew of the hit show starringSam Heughan and Katrina Balfe. Filming for Season 7 is currently underway, having been postponed due to the pandemic.

This show's storyline has really seen the character grow and develop over his 20+ years. To celebrate the special milestone, Outlander's official Instagram account posted some behind-the-scenes snaps from the past, with cast members looking much younger in some of the season 1 photos.

In addition to a series of snaps from the first season, they wrote: Fans who have made the last eight years so special.
