A host of Line of Duty stars are being tipped to swap AC-12 for cha cha cha and be contestants on the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.

As huge audiences tuned in once again to Sunday's gripping episode of the hit drama, some cast members are being talked up as possible contestants on another of the BBC's biggest shows when it returns this year.

And it is Vicky McClure, whose character Kate Fleming was at the centre of episode 5's dramatic cliffhanger that is the big favourite with bookies Betway at the moment.

Vicky is on odds of 11/10 with Adrian Dunbar, known to millions of viewer head honcho Ted Hastings, also well fancied on on current odds of 5/2.

Also, Apple TV offer a free trial for seven days but just remember that the subscription will renew automatically at £4.99/a month, so don’t forget to cancel if you don’t want it anymore.

It's not just Line of Duty stars being linked to a spin on the Strictly dancefloor, with Piers Morgan also tipped for the new series after his much publicised exit from Good Morning Britain earlier this year and his GMB rival Alex Beresford also seeing his name in the frame.

The current odds are:

Vicky McClure - 11/10

Adrian Dunbar - 5/2

Alex Beresford - 7/2

Martin Compston - 9/2

Piers Morgan - 11/2

Kelly Macdonald - 6/1

Betway’s Chad Yeomans said: “With nearly six months until Strictly Come Dancing dazzles its way back onto our screens, rumours are already beginning to swirl about who will be foxtrotting onto the ballroom floor.

"With a host of names in the mix, Line of Duty’s Vicky McClure is priced at 11/10, while her co-star Martin Compston is priced at 9/2.

"Never too far from the headlines, could we see Piers Morgan Cha-Cha on to the show at 11/2?”

Another star linked with Strictly 2021 so far, is X Factor finalist turned Loose Women panellist Stacey Solomon with bosses said to be very keen on signing her up to take part.
