‘Octomum’ Nadya Suleman shows what she feeds her 14 kids daily as she hits back at trolls who slammed her huge family

‘OCTOMUM’ Nadya Suleman has hit back at trolls who criticised her for having 14 children, after falling pregnant with octuplets when she already had six children.

Nadya, 45, hit the headlines in 2009 when she gave birth to eight healthy children, with her previous four sons and two daughters conceived by IVF.

Nadya, who lives with her brood in California, recently shared a snap of her octuplets’ - Noah, Maliyah, Nariyah, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Jonah, Josiah, and Maka - 11th birthday.

She uploaded a snap of the troupe celebrating their birthday wearing party hats, as she gushed about how lucky she was to be their mother.

Nadya wrote on Instagram: “Happy birthday to my beautiful angels.

“You are some of the kindest, most compassionate, caring human beings I’ve ever known. Words cannot express how grateful I am to be your mother.

“You all have blessed my life immensely and I thank God daily for trusting me to care for, shape the lives of, and influence all of you.

“You are my miracles, my angels, and I will love you with all my heart, forever.”

Thousands of people commented on the post, and while some praised her parenting others hit out at Nadya.

One person wrote: “I pray for those kids without a father.

"So sad. At least they look healthy."

Another said: “There isn't any cake, no snacks, no forks or spoons on the table!

"A plain empty plate, and bottles of water does not make a good birthday party!"

While a third asked why Nadya ‘needed’ to have so many children.

But the mum-of-14 clapped back, replying: “No one ‘needs’ any children.

“I never planned on having octuplets (8 born simultaneously), though I wanted a big family (not THIS big lol) … hopefully, one day you will watch/read my true story.”

Nadya has recently begun sharing her childrens’ lives on social media, in particular their diet.

The mum follows a strict vegan diet, and says 13 of her kids do, with the youngsters allowed to enjoy one vegan ‘junk food’ night a week.

She said: “I’m sharing just a glimpse of how healthy my kids and I live.

“My daughter Calyssa (pictured ingesting raw chard) has internalized and now exhibits similar healthy behaviors as me.

“My oldest, Eli, used to eat burgers nearly daily, and now is vegan on his own volition.

“Personally, I am a predominantly raw, ethical vegan (I refuse to condone or contribute to the unnecessary, merciless suffering of sentient beings).

“I allow my children (and myself) to enjoy some vegan ‘junk’ once per week at the most.

“This way they do not feel deprived, and learn the value of self-discipline.

“We eat whole, plant based foods with nearly no added ingredients (other than spices).”

And revealing their day-to-day diet, Nadya said she and her kids cook from scratch each day, and she shared a few recipes they love.

Nadya said: “We cook daily from scratch (Nariyah and Maliyah are slowly taking over as head chefs since they love to cook!)

“-Golden potatoes and yellow onions: Roast in the oven after adding a little spring water in trays, onion powder, garlic powder, Himalayan salt, and black pepper (we eyeball all measurements).

“-Sweet mashed potatoes: simply boil in spring water till soft (never use tap as it becomes more toxic when boiled). Mash (we prefer to keep the skin to preserve more vitamins). Add a dash of cinnamon and even nutmeg, nothing else as they are naturally sweet.

“-Dried black beans, and dried rainbow beans, cooked separately though the same: Depending on quantity cooked (we make several bags a day!)

"We dice two large onions for four bags. Soak dried beans in spring water (we soak overnight). Boil beans and onions in spring water, add onion and garlic powder, and Himalayan salt to your liking.

“-Baby spinach and kale salad: salad “dressing” made with avocado, fresh lemon, diced onion, bell pepper, onion and garlic powder, dash of salt and black pepper. Use fresh baby spinach and kale, mix and enjoy!”

The mum previously admitted that she'd turned to porn and stripping to make ends meet, and also developed an addiction to prescription drug Xanax.

After hitting rock bottom she has since turned her life around and now is devoted mum.

Meanwhile thrifty mum shares easy meal planner which has saved her family-of-five £360 a month on food.
