Stay at home music lovers are in for another treat this week following the successful launch of a Live Jam @ Lockdown.
Following last week's debut of the event, which brought live performances into people's living rooms for three consecutive nights, the North East music showcase is making a return - this time for four evenings, starting on Thursday.
Acoustic singer Gareth Beddard, who co-fronts The Folk Soul Bros. band, is delighted at the overwhelming response he's had to the idea of getting local performers to share their talents.
It immediately attracted plenty of willing volunteers and a newly set-up Facebook group soon had a whopping 10,000 members who couldn't wait to share the fun - and that figure has now soared to nearly 20,000.
Gareth got the first mega-gig underway himself and his performance was followed up by 26 other musicians and singers all playing 20-minute slots between 6pm and 10.30pm over three evenings.
The second event is to follow a similar format, getting under way a day earlier, this Thursday, due to the huge response from artists and performers.
Gareth, from Swalwell in Gateshead, said: "The demand for it has been massive."
And he is currently looking a way to take advantage of the surge in interest to raise money for a NHS-based charity via the page.
The upcoming line-up of acts, which will begin on Thursday with Daniel East, can be seen on the Facbook page here where Live Jam @ Lockdown will go live at 6pm.
All the performers involved will be putting a link on their own Facebook pages too.
