The North East Ambulance Service is asking for volunteer drivers amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Emergency services have been inundated after the Covid-19 outbreak and many are struggling to cope with the workload.
Now NEAS is looking for volunteers to help them get through the current crisis.
A spokesperson said: "North East Ambulance Service needs you!
"We are looking for volunteer drivers to help support during the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak.
"Do you have the following?
"Are you also?
"If you meet the criteria and are interested, please contact [email protected] with the following details:
"A member of team will be in touch."
Many people have already responded to the call commenting on the Facebook post asking if they could help.
The current UK death toll stands at 759 after 181 more people died in 24 hours.
The Department of Health added the number of people who had tested positive for Covid-19 was now 14,579 as of 9am on Friday, up from 11,658 at the same point on Thursday.
