Here are the latest Newcastle United transfer rumours on Monday, November 29.
Newcastle 'express an interest' in Argentine forward
According to Italian website Viola News, Newcastle United 'are the latest club to express an interest' in River Plate forward Julian Alvarez.
The report says that the 21-year-old Argentine striker is also being looked at by Barcelona and Fiorentina, with his contract due to expire at the end of December in 2022.
The report continues: "Now, Newcastle are the latest entrants, as the Magpies look at options from the transfer market to improve their squad.
"They are in a tricky situation considering their Premier League standing at the bottom of the table. With plenty of cash in the bank, Newcastle are prepared to spend heavily in a bid to avoid relegation."
It also goes on to mention Manchester City as a potential suitor too, which means Newcastle would be up against two European giants - probably not the hardest decision Alvarez will ever make.

Reported Newcastle target 'rejected' by City
Barcelona are trying to offload rumoured Newcastle target Ousmane Dembele to Manchester City as part of a swap deal according to a report, but the proposal has been rejected by City.
According to Esport 3 Barcelona want City player Ferran Torres and he is open to the move, but it adds: "Barcelona wanted to bring the price tag down by offering a swap deal."
Dembele is out of contract at the end of the season, hence Barcelona's urgency, but according to the report the offer was declined by City. That could be good news for Newcastle, if there is any truth in the rumour.
The report continues: "Mundo Deportivo claim that Dembele has an ‘astronomical’ offer on the table from Newcastle.
"Newcastle of course have to stay up, but the Magpies seem to be the favourites to sign Dembele in 2022 – even more so now City have said no."
Former England striker tells Magpies to concentrate on loans
Former Sunderland and England striker Kevin Phillips said that Newcastle should sign experienced players on loan in the January transfer window rather than pursuing permanent deals.
Speaking to Football Insider, he said: “That’s the right approach to take, 100 per cent.
“It is about staying in the league. Eddie Howe and the owners know that. Nobody wants to start this rebuild in the Championship next season. The priority is to stay in the Premier League.
“Right now, they need to sign players who can keep them in the Premier League. I think loan signings are the most sensible way to do that.
“Perhaps throw in one big signing to get people on the edge of their seats but the sensible route is not to spend lots of money on four or five players. It does not guarantee survival.
“They are in a huge relegation battle and it is not looking good right now. The early signs are encouraging but the results need to really pick up.
“I think experienced players on loan could help them turn it around.â€
