Hello and welcome to our live blog coverage of Steve Bruce's pre-match Press conference.
The Magpies head coach has spent the week preparing his side for Saturday's trip to Vicarage Road to take on Watford.
Newcastle are still looking for their first Premier League win of the season, of course, and while Bruce was pleased with some of the aspects of the draw with Leeds United last time out, there are improvements which need to be made.
Tactics and team selection will come under the spotlight as usual, along with any injury updates.
United have been without Callum Wilson for the last two games, with the No 9 a big miss from the side.
Lee Ryder and Ciaran Kelly will bring you all the latest as it happens.
Premier League clubs have agreed to a six-week winter break next season to accommodate the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Premier League clubs, including Newcastle, are reported by Sky Sports as having agreed to pause the 2022/23 season following matches on the weekend of November 12 in 2022, before resuming on Boxing Day.
The break would give players a week to prepare with their national teams before the start of the World Cup in Qatar. With the final scheduled for December 18, any player involved until the end would also have a week to recover.
The Premier League will also start earlier in the 2022/23 season, beginning on August 6, before finishing in May but later than usual. The FA Cup has also had to adjust, being shifted back into June from its usual May.
Solano's Watford memories
Hopefully it won't be as troublesome a trip this time.
Ever heard the one about the player who got caught playing music on his phone in the team meeting, got dropped then got a taxi from Watford to Newcastle? https://t.co/aHgqT9Rsxa #nufc— Lee Ryder (@lee_ryder) September 23, 2021
