Mention the names Chandler, Joey, Ross, Rachel, Monica and Phoebe and just about everyone will go misty eyed at the memories they conjure up of some TV gold.
During the heyday of US hit Friends, the group of pals who shared viewers' living rooms each week during the series' 1994-2004 airing were probably more regularly seen than most members of their family.
More than 15 years on from when the sitcom ended, the six besties can be still seen together on that Central Perk sofa in endless comedy channel repeats.
And now theatre-goers in Newcastle will have a one-off chance to renew their acquaintance with the well-loved characters when Friends - The Musical Parody stops off in the city on its first UK tour.
The Tyne Theatre & Opera House announced on Friday that it is to play host to the US show which is proving a huge hit on the other side of the pond.
The musical, not to be confused with the show Friendsical which visited Northern Stage in Newcastle last September, has played Broadway and Las Vegas where it has delighted audiences with the way it lovingly lampoons the original sitcom and revives some of the six 20-something characters' best-known storylines.
Fans who have missed the antics of Chandler Bing and co. are being promised a hilarious nostalgia-fest when the musical transports them back to 1990s Manhattan.
And the cast playing the New York pals are said to capture all their familiar quirks, mannerisms and the catchphrases too.
Fans can expect to have a laugh as the musical pokes fun at the characters' frenetic work and love lives with stand-out moments being neatly summed up along the way in songs with titles such as The One Where We Make a Million Dollars an Episode - copying the style of the series' weekly named episodes.
Others are named after familiar catch-phrases and quotes like How you Doin?; We Were on a Break! and Oh. My. God. It's Janice!
Friends - The Musical Parody will be at the Tyne Theatre for one night only, on November 1. Theatre director Joanne Johnson said: "We’re very excited to welcome the first UK tour of Friends - The Musical Parody onto our stage. It’s had huge success in America and the TV series still is a huge phenomenon to this day. Fans of the TV show won’t want to miss out on this.”
