Hello and welcome to our Newcastle United live blog on Saturday, October 24.

The Newcastle United takeover again raised its head last night with the new consortium member Jamie Reuben had left his position at QPR, leading the speculation of movement on the Magpies deal.

On the pitch, United are looking ahead to Wolves on Sunday as they look to bounce back from a nightmare against Manchester United.

The Magpies are waiting for fitness upates on Karl Darlow and Isaac Hayden, while Paul Dummett, Sean Longstaff and Ciaran Clark are in contention.

Nuno on NUFC

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo had had his say on NUFC.

“Newcastle has a good manager in Steve Bruce, I know him well, and he has quality players, talented players, and it’s going to be a very tough, he added.

“They are a very tough opponent, and all the matches we’ve had against Newcastle were very competitive, very intense, and we expect the same for Sunday.

"Newcastle, are a very good team with very good players.”

Almiron & Fraser

Would you start one of Ryan Fraser and Miguel Almiron - or both?

Bruce's challenge

Steve Bruce spoke to Lee Ryder about his biggest challenge at NUFC.

Full story here.

"We brought in two or three players at the top end of the pitch to try to get that balance right between an attacking side and defensively get it right.

"And there lies my biggest challenge here.

"It's doing that right, because when we do that (attack) slightly we become too easily to play against the other way.

"That is the big raging debate I have to get right - the balance. If I possibly can."
