Fans of big cats, unique documentaries and a good ol' Netflix binge can rejoice in the knowledge that our favourite lockdown show is making a comeback.

In a tweet, Netflix has confirmed that we will soon be seeing the Netflix documentary series Tiger King 2.

The show's first instalment, Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness, is still available to stream now on Netflix if you need a refresher.

Upon release in March 2020, all seven episodes of series one proved to be incredibly popular.

It has a current score of 7.5/10 on IMDB and 85% on Rotten Tomatoes.

What can we expect from Tiger King 2?

As of yet, we don't yet have much to go on. However, we can certainly talk about who won't be making a return in this series, and that is Carole Baskin.

In a statement, she has said, "I'm refusing to be played again", and, when reached out to by the co-director of Tiger King, "I told her to lose my number. There is no explanation for such a betrayal and false portrayal."

It's also not entirely clear if or how Joe Exotic would return to the show, given that he is currently still in prison.

So far, Netflix has promised us "just as much mayhem and madness as Season 1!"

When is the Tiger King 2 release date?

As it stands, Netflix has said that Tiger King 2 will be released by the end of the year.

What else is coming soon to Netflix?

There is a lot of other documentary content coming to Netflix over the coming months.

According to Digital Spy, January of 2022 will bring us Bad Vegan , the story of a restaurateur who is conned out of millions by a partner that convinces her he can expand her food empire (and make her dog immortal).

Also out in January, The Puppet Master: Hunting the Ultimate Conman is a three-part mini-series that "tells the insane story of an audacious conman who was convicted in 2005.

Then, in a shocking twist, the story reaches into the present day as a family suddenly fears for their mom's safety."

The Tinder Swindler is coming in February 2022, telling us "The jaw-dropping story of a prolific conman who posed as a billionaire playboy on Tinder, and the women who set out to bring him down."

Finally, Trust No One: The Hunt for the Crypto King is also scheduled for release in 2022 (no specific date set as of yet). Netflix tells us that the documentary will "follow a group of investors turned sleuths as they try to unlock the suspicious death of cryptocurrency multimillionaire Gerry Cotten and the missing $250 million they believe he stole from them."
