A grandmother who died in a horrific dog attack this week was treated in hospital after being bitten a year ago.
Ann Dunn, 65, died at her home in the Vauxhall area of Liverpool after neighbours reported hearing a woman's screams at around 4pm on Monday.
Merseyside Police confirmed that five American bulldogs, which were inside the property, were seized by officers and humanely destroyed.
The Liverpool Echo has reported that Ms Dunn required hospital treatment in August last year after suffering a number of bites from a large dog, although her injuries on that occasion were not life-threatening.

After the woman died, a neighbour, who asked not to be named, described Ann, who worked as a cleaner, as the "loveliest person".
She said: "She was lovely, really funny, such a happy girl. She had not long ago been on holiday with her daughter.

Facebook)"When I found out I was so upset. I couldn't sleep that night, I was laid awake thinking about what state she must have been in when they found her. It's awful."
Another resident who paid tribute to the grandmother of one and mum of two, said she never failed to say 'hello'.
He said: "She always used to stop and chat and she was always smiling. She was a lovely woman."

Facebook)A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being the owner of a dog dangerously out of control and has since been released on conditional bail pending further investigation.
Merseyside Police said a post-mortem exam will also take place on Ms Dunn.
Detective Inspector Katie Coote said: "This is clearly a very distressing incident and our thoughts are with the family and friends of the lady who died.
"Our enquiries remain ongoing as we seek to establish what has happened and I would urge anyone who could assist our enquiries to get in touch."
