A MUM has recalled the horrifying moment her daughter described allegedly being "sexually abused" by a teenage nursery worker.
Jayden McCarthy, 18, is accused of raping at least eight children at a crèche in Torquay, Devon, which has since closed down.
Exeter Crown Court heard that the little girl, who was three at the time of the alleged offence in July 2019, told her mum about the alleged incident.
Allegations came to light after the girl returned home wearing different clothes to the ones she had worn earlier.
In a conversation with her mum, the child pointed at body parts as she explained what happened while at nursery, a jury heard.
The mum explained told the court that her daughter explained that McCarthy had "orally raped her."
The child's parents contacted the nursery to ask them about Jayden and if he had changed their daughter that day - and they confirmed he had.
She added that the nursery failed to call them back so they drove there to find out what was going on.
The mum said McCarthy had been suspended and "had denied everything."
A three-year-old girl was also shown gingerbread models by police asking her about the incident, the court heard.
Detectives asked her who had “been naughty at nursery” and the child replied “Jayden.”
She could then be seen giving a “little nod” when asked if she was sexually assaulted by the teenager.
The court previously heard that McCarthy is accused of sexually assaulting eight children aged between two and four over two and a half weeks.
Two video interviews lasting 33 minutes were played before police officers concluded them saying the child was “not saying anything”.
A jury has been told that McCarthy, aged 16 at the time of the offences, carried out a series of sex attacks on very young children at the family run nursery
McCarthy, now 18, is alleged by the prosecution to have committed the attacks on eight children aged between two and four in a 19 day period.
He is also accused of raping a boy repeatedly over several months in 2014 and 15.
Her parents contacted the nursery and McCarthy was suspended and asked to leave while an investigation went underway.

She said the nursery owners said it was not their protocol to call the police but the child’s mother added: "In my eyes it was a police matter."
McCarthy denies three counts of raping a child and 13 counts of sexual assault of a child under the age of 13.
His trial continues.
