A mother feared for her daughter's life after she had a severe asthma attack due to dreaded mold in her apartment.

Paige Harvey's 7-year-old daughter Lilly suffered a stroke requiring oxygen while being treated atSt Peter's Hospital.

It followed a complaint to the housing association A2Dominion, in which Ms. Harvey claimed that her daughter's bedroom was neglected after a leak spread mold.

SurreyLive reported that Harvey noticed Lily was having trouble breathing before she fell ill, and her mother called her to 911. An ambulance was sent to her home.

Harvey, 27, says:

She was rushed to the hospital in May after having a severe asthma attack.

''I was in a panic and I didn't want her to see me cry, so I decided to go with her for my little girl. It was very traumatic.

"I was frozen, but she did well. Bless her. It was heartbreaking and the most terrifying thing I have ever seen." Even when she's asleep, I'min and out of her roomto check on her."

For this matter, A2Dominion apologized to the two for this ordeal and sent them to temporary housing while they worked on repairing their old apartment.

Ms. Paige said her daughter continues to struggle with memories of her experience, with the knowledge that she will have to return to the apartment her mother believed brought about her attack.

"Despite assurances from A2Dominion that the apartment was safe, she requested a new home for her family.

Dawn Wightman, director of housing for A2Dominion, said:

"After investigation, it was determined that the problem was caused by a leaking bathroom in a neighboring property.

"All work is now complete and our resident's home is ready for her return.

" A resident cannot be permanently moved to another house, as this would violate the nomination contract with the local authority and would be a disservice to other residents in need of urgent permanent relocation.
