A mum and daughter who were found dead at home yesterday have been pictured – with a murder investigation now under way.
Marcin Zdun, 39, was arrested after an incident at a property in Salisbury, Wilts, yesterday.
Aneta Zdun, 40, and daughter Nikoletta Zdun, 18 – thought to be his wife and daughter – were pronounced dead at the scene.
Zdun has since been charged on two counts of murder.
Wiltshire Police confirmed in a statement: “A Salisbury man has been charged overnight with two counts of murder.
“Marcin Zdun, aged 39, from Wessex Road, Salisbury has been charged with two counts of murder and will appear at court this morning.
"It follows an incident in the city on Monday afternoon where two women died."
The force earlier confirmed it was “meticulously” combing through evidence.
DCI Darren Hannant said: "Naturally people will be alarmed due to the large police presence in the area as we car.
"I would like to reiterate that we have made an arrest and there is no risk posed to the wider community.
"The local community are likely to see a significant police presence in this area for a number of days.
"Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the two victims.
"We would like to thank the local community in advance for their understanding and patience while we carry out our enquiries."
Wiltshire Police received a call at 2.45pm yesterday from a neighbour.
Having arrived at the property, officers discovered the body of one woman.
Another of the victims was found seriously injured and was later pronounced dead by paramedics from South Western Ambulance Service.
