A model has shared how she is living in terror after finding out her abusive ex-boyfriend is on the run from police.

Martha Dolak, 33, was left blind in one eye after a horrific assault by former partner Michael Goodwin which lasted 21 hours, the Daily Star reports.

During the attack, he held her hostage in his southwest London flat and broke nearly every bone in her face, all while his two young children were in the next room.

The 32-year-old, who Martha describes as a "monster", was jailed for four years and three months in 2018.

She still suffers PTSD from the assault, which happened in October 2017.

Goodwin was jailed for four years over the vicious assault

But in February, Goodwin was released to a bail hostel in Kent and is now on the run after he was recalled to prison.

Terrified that he will come after her again, the news has forced Martha to move to a safe house outside London.

Her parents have also relocated for safety reasons.

"The abuse he put me through, I could have died so many times," she says.

"I’m still suffering from PTSD and I’m really frightened.

“When I found out I freaked out and started crying, and it was as though I had taken a big step back because I knew he was no longer in prison.

"I had to move away from my family home, and my mum and dad had to be relocated too because of what happened. I just don’t feel safe."

The pair had been dating on and off for 18 months before Goodwin locked the doors to his flat in Tooting and attacked Martha.

She was only able to escape after sending a selfie of her injuries to a friend, who raised the alarm with her parents and the police.

She continued: "My support workers have been brilliant, the victim liaison unit let me know that he was on the run.

The model fears her ex will target her again

"Usually they said they don’t do that until they have been captured again, but they were worried about me.

"But when I spoke to the police officer who was in charge of the case before, she wasn’t aware he had run away.

"That sent a shiver down my spine. He’s an unpredictable monster, and it’s like I’m looking over my shoulder all the time.

Martha, who has worked at London Fashion Week and appeared in an Alexandra Burke pop video, believes he has been stalking her on Instagram since his release.

"On my Instagram I had a lot of weird messages, constant degrading messages, from fake accounts which I think were him," the model, who was also voted Miss Beach Body by the National Fitness Federation, continued.

"Since he’s been released he followed me again on a profile of his own name, it’s like he’s still fixated on me and I won’t feel safe until he is caught again."

"I had hoped that maybe he had changed from being in prison, but being on the run from the police he obviously hasn’t at all and is a dangerous man who needs to be caught."
