Gerrard sends Liverpool message after Aston Villa beat Leicester City
Steven Gerrard has spoken about his upcoming return to Anfield after his impressive start to life as Aston Villa manager continued with a 2-1 victory over a Leicester City side managed by his former boss Brendan Rodgers.
Ezri Konsa scored twice as Villa came from behind to claim victory and move above Midlands rivals Leicester into 10th in the Premier League table.
It means Gerrard has now taken nine points from a possible 12 since taking over at Villa Park from the sacked Dean Smith.
And it leaves his side in upbeat mood going into next Saturday's trip to Liverpool, the club where the 41-year-old made 710 appearances and scored 186 goals during his playing career.
