Mike Tyson gets sweat on as he trains for comeback at 54 as legend says ‘I’m the best ever, I’m brutal and vicious’

MIKE TYSON has ramped up his training and got a sweat on as he prepares for his long-awaited comeback - and declared: "I'm the best ever."

The American legend, 54, is set to step back into the ring and take on Roy Jones Jr in an eight-round exhibition on November 28.

And in a promo video for the bout, Tyson promised to "annihilate" his opponent.

A day after posting a photo wearing a t-shirt of himself with the words 'greatest of all time' on Instagram, he was back on social media with more big claims.

The Baddest Man on the Planet, wearing another 'Tyson' t-shirt from his own range, had a towel on his head to wipe away the sweat built up from another session in the gym.

He wrote: "I’m the best ever. I’m the most brutal and vicious, and most ruthless champion there’s ever been."

And then in the trailer for the showdown with Jones, showing clips of him in training, Tyson added: "I'm going to annihilate him.

"I have the belief, I have the desire. I'm the greatest fighter since the conception of God."

Jones, 51, did not hold back, either, stating: "For me, this is easy. I can do it all."

Tyson and Jones did not meet during their boxing heydays but are on course to make stunning comebacks.

Iron Mike retired professionally in 2005 whereas Captain Hook was still competing until 2018.

Under the California State Athletic Commission, Tyson and Jones were due to box under strict orders, prohibiting KOs and not having judges score the bout.

But now an unnamed but recognised sanctioning body will oversee the rearranged fight, which could be allowed to have spectators in attendance and adopting more familiar rules.

Officials will be ringside scoring and the winner of the exhibition will receive a special belt.

Tyson said: “Changing the date to November 28 will give more people the opportunity to see the biggest comeback in boxing history.

“This temporary inconvenience will last longer than Roy Jones Jr.

“He better be ready, I’m coming full force.”
