Manchester City will have to get past former Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet on Tuesday as they face Club Brugge in the Champions League.
Belgian champions Brugge boast former international Mignolet in their ranks, with the veteran goalkeeper ready to captain the hosts on Tuesday.
Brugge held Paris Saint-Germain to a draw in their previous Champions League home game, before recording an impressive 2-1 win at RB Leipzig last time out. In both games, they deployed a flexible formation with the ability to play with a back three or back five, with wing-backs pushing forward if needed. They could repeat that approach against City, who will likely have plenty of the ball.
Belgian international Hans Vanaken will be looking to continue his good form with a goal against both PSG and Leipzig, while exciting forward Charles De Katelaere will be looking to build on his first goal for Belgium - set up by Kevin De Bruyne - last week.
Striker Noa Lang, who featured for the Netherlands over the international break, is also set to feature, as is midfielder Mats Rits, scorer of their winner at Leipzig.
In defence, Scotland international Jack Hendry should be in line for a recall after sitting out Brugge's league win over Kortrijk at the weekend. He should be joined by Clinton Mata and Stanley Nsoki in defence, with full-backs Eduard Sobol and Kamal Sowah able to drop back into defence if needed.
Eder Balanta, another defensive-minded player, could play in midfield or defence, with Mata, Sowah and Sobol possibly pushing forward. Balanta is one booking away from a suspension, with the return fixture up next, so might have to be careful if selected.
A midfield pairing of Vanaken and Rits will be key to Brugge's chances, with Lang and De Ketelaere providing the attacking focus. Against Leipzig, Lang was deeper in a 5-4-1 formation, but could also be used in a two with De Ketelaere.
Club Brugge predicted XI vs City: Mignolet; Sowah, Clinton Mata, Hendry, Nsoki, Sobol; Balanta, Rits, Vanaken; De Katelaere, Lang
