Meghan Markle, 38, and Prince Harry, 35, had been based in Canada with their young son Archie Harrison since before Christmas. However, the couple are understood to have left their Vancouver Island bolthole and moved to Meghan’s native Los Angeles before Canada went into lockdown last week, reported PEOPLE.
Why did Meghan and Harry move to LA?
Meghan grew up in Los Angeles and it’s where her mother Doria Ragland, 63, is based so it was always considered a possible move for the couple.
However, Meghan and Harry seemed set on settling in Commonwealth country Canada since announcing their royal step down at the start of the year.
They had been staying in a rented mansion on Vancouver Island since November when they arrived there with baby Archie for their Christmas break.

While the Sussexes’ office has not confirmed their move to the States an insider has claimed they did it in part to avoid paying tax in two places.
A source told the Sun: “Initially Harry and Meghan wanted to be based in a Commonwealth country — Canada — and earn their own money while still performing some royal duties.
“But their plan very quickly fell apart.
“They were told getting work visas in Canada would be difficult and because Meghan remains a US citizen — so is taxed on her worldwide income — she would end up paying in the US and Canada."

Chairman of Reputation Management Consultants Eric Schiffer has claimed Meghan risks “embarrassing the Royal Family” is she goes back to Hollywood.
Mr Schiffer told Express.co.uk: “Meghan will pursue acting causing immense embarrassment for the Royal family and drive more public backlash.
“Hollywood, in the end, will dump Meghan and chew her out the way she and Buckingham Palace ditched each other.”
