Kylian Mbappe has likened rapid Ligue 1 star Jeremy Doku to Paris Saint-Germain teammate Neymar - as he also name-checked Premier League stars Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Kyle Walker.

The PSG superstar is a huge fan of wide man Doku, whose impressive performances for Rennes have seen him linked with a summer move to Premier League giants Liverpool.

The 19-year-old signed for Rennes from Anderlecht last summer and made 30 appearances this season.

The Belgian teenager played in a 1-1 draw against Mbappe's PSG side in May, a result which ultimately cost Mauricio Pochettino's side the top-flight title.

And he caught the attention of Mbappe, who is currently preparing for his first game of the Euros with pre-tournament favourites France.

Mbappe has compared Doku's speed to Arsenal star Aubameyang and Manchester City right-back Walker.

“Recently, I was speaking with my father about a player who impressed me from the stands – because I was not playing – because of his speed qualities, that is (Jeremy) Doku, at Rennes," he said in an interview with France Football.

"In 5 years as a professional, I have never seen someone from a standing start demonstrate so much power.

"In terms of an incredibly quick player, I would also put Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Neymar too, certainly before his injuries.

"He could change direction with crazy ease.

"There are also players less explosive from a standing start like Kyle Walker at Manchester City.

"He is like a tank once he hits his speed once he gets into it.”

Meanwhile, Mbappe's future is the subject of speculation this summer as he looks to inspire France to Euros glory.

The 22-year-old has questioned whether Paris is the best place to continue his career.

"I have to make the right decision, which is difficult, and give myself every chance to decide well,” he added.

“I am in a place where I like myself, feel good. But is it the best place for me? I don't have the answer yet”.

However, earlier this month PSG chairman and chief executive Nasser Al-Khelaifi claimed PSG will never even consider selling Mbappe, who has been linked with a move to Real Madrid.

"I will be clear: Kylian will be staying in Paris," Al-Khelaifi told L’Equipe.

"We are never going to sell him, and he will never leave for free.

“I never give details to the press about ongoing negotiations. All I can say is that it is coming along nicely.

"I hope that we will find a common ground. It is Paris, Kylian's country and he has a mission: not just to be a football player, but to promote the French league, his country and the capital city."
